Why renting locally beats flying with your own

Airlines carry mobility equipment, and many travellers bring their own. But a power chair or scooter travels in the hold, and if it arrives damaged in Punta Cana, repairing it locally during a one-week holiday is not realistic. Renting means you have a local company to contact if something fails during your stay.

The other reason is distance. Dominican all-inclusive resorts are large, and the beach is always a long way from the lobby. Guests who walk comfortably at home often find that three or four crossings of the property a day is a different matter in Caribbean heat.

How it works

  1. Book online with your hotel, your dates and the equipment you want.
  2. We meet you in the lobby on your arrival date, or at the airport if you prefer to have it from the moment you land. If the meeting point has to change, we tell you in advance.
  3. Support during your stay. If anything goes wrong with the equipment, contact us for technical support.
  4. We collect it at the end of your rental, at the same hotel or at a different one if you are moving.

Frequently asked questions

Can I rent a mobility scooter anywhere in the Dominican Republic?

Our main coverage is the east: Punta Cana, Bávaro, Cap Cana, Cabeza de Toro, Uvero Alto, Macao, Miches, Bayahibe and La Romana. We also serve Santo Domingo, including its airport, and other areas may be available depending on the location. Contact us with your hotel and dates and we will confirm before you book.

Will the resort lend me a wheelchair instead?

In our experience delivering to resorts across the east of the country, no. Some resorts lend a wheelchair for a special occasion, for a couple of hours at most and never for a whole stay, and they have very few chairs. More on what resorts do and do not provide.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

No. We do not require a security deposit for most reservations, and cancellation is free more than 24 hours before delivery.

Can the equipment be waiting at Punta Cana airport?

Yes. Tell us your flight and we will have it at Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) so you have it from the moment you land, rather than waiting until you reach the hotel.

Check availability and reserve online, or message us on WhatsApp with your dates and hotel and we will tell you what fits.
